This combination allows her to help others communicate their thoughts, shape their images, and share their stories.
She founded Girl in Charge Public Relations, in 2005 after being an entertainment publicist for several years and noticing a lack of African American female representation in Hollywood. Now over 20 years later, she has worked with some of entertainments top A listers and expanded from entertainment to cause driven campaigns and corporate communications.
Her goal is to always take advantage of opportunities to increase client brand, name, and face/logo recognition. This done through carefully thought-out publicity campaigns and executed with precision from inception to completion. The approach has worked in placing client projects on the New York Times Best Sellers list, and on top of the Billboard Charts, as well as garnering them such industry accolades as NAACP Image Awards, Grammy Awards, BET Awards, and Stellar Awards.
