Meet Moniece

Moniece Slaughter is a well-known singer, songwriter, and star of VH1’s, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reality show.  As one of the original main cast members, Moniece has made her mark as a no-nonsense, wicked tongued beauty with a heart of gold and a voice to match.

Also known as Kali, she grew up around music in Los Angeles, Ca.  Her stepfather is 10-time Grammy Award winning gospel singer Dave Thomas of Take 6, who helped her hone her skills as a vocalist.   She went on to sing the theme song for the hit TV show America’s Next Top Model, and penned songs for the likes of Marques Houston and Akon.

Although a true up and coming recording artist, Moniece is best known as a series regular on Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood.  With her expanding popularity, she became a special guest cast member on various seasons of Love & Hip-Hop: New York and Atlanta.  Always a force to be reckoned with, she often found herself in tumultuous situations, that made for great TV and gave the franchise some of its most memorable moments and helping to solidify her as one of its most popular personalities. 

Moniece is now in the studio recording new music in addition to launching a new clothing line, advocating for mental health awareness, and developing a new reality show featuring the drama, humor and at times dysfunction of her family.
